Care Instructions
How should you look after your garments?
We want your clothing to look the best it can, for the longest time.
Our process of decoration is called known as "DTF" or Direct-To-Film. Its a simple process of laying down a transfer, which has the required artwork printed on it. Then, using heat and pressure and time, we press that artwork (basically the ink) down on to the t-shirt, or hoodie.
Different types of clothing need different amounts of heat and pressure so a cotton t-shirt is different than a rain coat.
To keep your clothing in the best condition so that the prints don't fade, or crack too early, follow the guidance below.
Clothing - tee's and hood's etc
You should get between 50-70 washes out of your garment before you start to see deterioration in the quality.
Here is a list of tips to keep it in tip-top condition:
Preparation: Always turn the garment inside out before washing to protect the printed design from abrasion with other clothes.
Water Temperature: Use cold or cool water (30C or below) to prevent cracking, peeling, or fading of the print.
Detergent & Cycle: Use a mild detergent and select a gentle or delicate wash cycle. Avoid harsh detergents, bleach, or chlorine-based products.
Drying: Air drying is the best method to prolong the life of the print. If using a dryer, use the lowest heat setting.
Ironing: Do not iron directly on the transfer. Use a low-temperature setting and iron on the reverse side, or place a cloth over the design.
Raincoats!
These need a bit more care as the transfer adheres to a surface which is designed to "repel" things!
Turn Inside Out: Always turn the raincoat inside out before washing to reduce direct friction on the design.
Cold Water Wash: Use cold water only (maximum 30°C/86°F) to prevent the adhesive from softening.
Gentle/Delicate Cycle: Select the gentlest cycle on your washing machine to minimize agitation.
Mild Detergent: Use a mild detergent. Do not use bleach, harsh chemicals, or fabric softeners, as these can weaken the print adhesive.
Hand Wash Preferred: For the best results, hand wash the raincoat to prevent damage to the waterproof coating and the print
Air Dry Only : Hang the raincoat to air dry, preferably in the shade, to prevent the print from cracking and the jacket from melting.
